The window that opens a file is called the Viewer.  The Viewer consists of a main view area, toolbar menu options, and status bar.  Ultra eBook Reader supports multi-viewer use so you can open more than one file.  See Open an eBook for more information on opening Viewers.

Viewer Window

The Viewer will be displayed when you open a supported file type.  It appears as can be seen here:

The areas of the Viewer include:

Menu bar located horizontally at the top.
Left pane: the area designated for the Table of Contents, Bookmarks, or the Find function.  See: File Functions for more.
Main display area.  See Display for more information.
Status bar located horizontally at the bottom.  See: File Functions for more.

Minimize and Maximize

There are a few options available for adjusting the Viewer window.

Minimize or Maximize

You can minimize or maximize the Viewer directly from the main window using the Minimize, Maximize, and Close standard window buttons.

To minimize or maximize the Viewer, do the following:

Click the associated button located at the top right of the window.  The "-" icon will minimize the window to the taskbar and the square icon will maximize it to full screen size.

Exit the Program

You can also exit the program directly from the Viewer.  That is to say, you can close and exit any instance of a Viewer that is open.

To exit, do one of the following:

Click the File drop down menu and select Exit.
The top right buttons: Minimize, Maximize, and Close are standard window buttons.  You can close the window and exit the program using the red "X" button

From the Taskbar:

You can also close the Viewer window from the taskbar.

To close a file from the taskbar shortcut, do the following:

Right-click the icon and select Close window.

notes  If there is more than one Viewer open you can close all of them at once by selecting "Close all windows".
