There are several areas of the Viewer (refer to the Viewer page to see the list). The main area is the display section and this is where you will read the content of your eBook file. To get the right display the best suites your reading and view preference you can use the View commands in the menu bar or the status bar commands. We will start with the status bar.
Status Bar
There are a variety of commands in the status bar located at the bottom of the Viewer that control the display of the eBook content. They include the following:

Page View Options:
|
These options are used to adjust how the page view is displayed. The area of the status bar appears like this:

The options from the drop down menu include:
• | Single Page View: This displays the book with only one page displayed at a time. |
• | Two Page View: This displays the eBook with two pages in the width of the Viewer. |
• | Book View: This is similar to the Two page view but the first page of the eBook is displayed on the right and odd numbered pages are on the right just as with a book. |
• | Enable Scrolling: This enables and disables the ability to scroll the page if a portion is not in view in the display area. |
The two shortcut view options are as follows:
• | Single Page View Fit Width and Enable Scrolling: This option fits the page to the maximum width of the page and enables vertical scrolling so you can read from top to bottom by scrolling down. |
• | Single Page View Fit Page and Disable Scrolling: This option fits the entire page in the window and removes the ability to scroll as the full page is in view. |
|
Zoom:
|
This includes the various zoom options. The area of the status bar appears like this:

The two button options include:
• | Zoom out: This zooms the display out (that is, reduces the display). |
• | Zoom in: This zooms the display inward (that is, enlarges the display). |
The options from the drop down menu include:
• | Fit Page: Whether you choose Single Page, Two Page, or Book view, this zoom option will display the entire page area in the display. |
• | Actual size: This option will display the actual size of the eBook without any zoom option (that is, it is at 100% zoom). |
• | Fit Width: This option will fit the display to the width of the Viewer. |
• | Fit Content: This fits the content of the file so as to not include the header, footer, and empty lines at the top and the bottom of the page. Note: This works only for certain eBook formats. |
• | Zoom in: This zooms the display inward (that is, enlarges the display). |
• | Zoom out: This zooms the display out (that is, reduces the display). |
Ultra eBook Reader supports touch-screen capability; with any touch screen device or monitor you can use pinch-to-zoom actions like pinch close and pinch open.
